What's New

The next lecture will take place on Feb. 9. (Lecturer: Kazuo Okanoya)

Overview

The frontier of brain science has developed as a comprehensive science that consists not only of medical and biological approaches, but also those of molecular biology, theoretical science, and psychology. This year's RIKEN BSI Tutorial Series focuses on understanding integrated brain functions while ensuring that audience members who are not experts in the issues being addressed are able to understand their significance. Invited lecturers include professors from universities that have collaborative graduate studies programs with BSI, eminent lecturers from the forefront of the different brain science fields, and BSI researchers. The lecturers will address hot topics, latest trends, and interesting and future challenges. Young researchers (graduate students, postdocs), researchers, technical staff, PIs, and highly motivated undergraduate students are welcome to attend, whether affiliated with RIKEN or not. The lectures will be given in English.

No pre-registration or entrance fee required.
*Please note that the schedule may slightly change, so check the website just before each lecture.

Completion Certificate

Completion certificates will be awarded upon attendees’ request to those who:
  1. Attend more than 70% of all lecturers
  2. Score over 70% on the submitted reports on two publications which themes are different from your research area, based upon learning from the lectures you attended.
