October 02, 2017 11:00 - 12:30
BSI Central Building 3F Seminar Room
Semantic descriptions, data annotations, and overall hierarchical organization of data respecting their semantic and pragmatic relationships are broadly discussed topics in many scientific disciplines. The questions related to generally understandable semantic descriptions of data have become even more important when the idea of open and shared data has entered its implementation phase. These topics and questions also apply to neuroinformatics and one of its subfield – understandable and well-annotated electrophysiological data. The talk will present general approaches to the semantic description of data together with the practical experience concerning the collection, annotation, and sharing of human electrophysiological data in our neuroinformatics laboratory.
Besides, this forum is followed by free discussion and practice of metadata creation on electrophysiological data until Oct 6.
If you are interested in participation in the practice, please contact NIJC (email: firstname.lastname@example.org)
＊This Forum is co-sponsored by Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research on Innovative Areas "Non-linear Neuro-Oscillology: Towards Integrative Understanding of Human Nature".
